It turns out Meredith Vieira isn't the only one who didn't recognize Tim Berners-Lee, the man credited with inventing the World Wide Web, who was featured in part of the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony.
Watchers of Friday's opening ceremony for the London Olympics were thrown a curveball during the festivities. In addition the many athletes honored at the Olympic Stadium, a long tribute was paid to one Sir Tim Berners-Lee.
